If you are running Syncplify.me Server! v5.x, using at least one DiskAES256 VFS, and planning on upgrading to Syncplify Server! v6.0+, then you'll need to manually decrypt the contents of such at-rest encrypted VFSs, because VFS encryption support in v6.0+ is far more sophisticated and, as a consequence, not compatible with prior versions of the software.
Luckily we do provide a little nifty tool that does all the work for you. Simply download the DiskAES256Decrypt.exe tool, run it, and supply the required information to the software.
All you need is:
- the folder/directory location of your encrypted files on the server's disk/storage
- the original password that was used to create the DiskAES256 VFS
- an empty destination folder/directory where all the decrypted files will be saved
